Ferne Corrigan - Presenter Showreel

A new year, a new project. As the title of this entry suggests, I'm helping my friend Ferne Corrigan compile a short presenter showreel. Ferne and I were at university together and in less than 3 years she has already starred in a new Cbeebies show called 'My Pet and Me'. A show that has the catchiest intro jingle you'll ever hear. Anyway, she asked if myself and Sam Hopes would like to help her compile a new showreel, giving me the opportunity to really test my ability with the steadicam. The first sequence we filmed revolved around the remains of a Scelidosaurus, housed at the Bristol Natural History Museum and how it was the first archeological find to suggest that Dinosaurs were quadrupedal. I'm still rocking the Canon 550D, but have recently upgraded to a Tokina 11-16mm f, 2.8 wide angle lens and I gotta say... It makes a huge difference. Not only does the wider aperture mean I can film in lower light, having a wider lens dramatically reduces much of the shake and general swaying you get when trying the hold the Flycam 3000 still for extended periods of time. Hopefully we should have the entire showreel finished within the next week or so. As soon as we do, I'll be sure to post it. In the mean time, here's a link to that incredibly catchy theme tune to 'My Pet and Me'. Enjoy!!
